Version 0.3.1 · Released 29 Aug 2026 · Download

You can choose how a match is won now. Until today the only way was to destroy everything the other side owned.

Highlights

  • Seven victory presets in skirmish and the multiplayer lobby, and the AI plays every one
  • Formations moved to Shift + right-click drag, so right-drag turns the camera again
  • Shift-queue works for every order

Victory conditions

  • Conquest: last team standing. Still the default
  • Standard: conquest, a held Wonder or all the Relics, whichever comes first
  • Wonder: build your faction's Wonder and keep it standing for 5, 10 or 15 minutes. Lose it and the clock goes with it
  • Relics: heroes carry Relics home. Hold every one to start the clock
  • Regicide: everyone has a King. When he dies, his whole side dies with him
  • King of the Hill: hold the Monument in the middle. More of your units on it moves the bar your way, and a tie freezes it
  • Score: a time limit, 30 minutes by default. Wiping out the enemy still wins outright

Every faction has its own Wonder and King. The AI will build Wonders and hunt yours, and it minds its own King too. On Medium he hides in a town hall, and on Hard he's moved early with two escorts.

Formations and orders

In 0.3.0 the line formation was on plain right-click drag, which is how trackpad players turn the camera. Select some units and your camera was gone. My mistake. It's Shift + right-click drag now.

  • Lines can curve, with a preview of where everyone will stand
  • Tight or loose spacing, melee in front and ranged behind
  • Shift-queue stacks gathering, repairing, patrolling and casting, where it used to wipe your queue
  • Buildings tell you why production has stalled

Also

  • Heroes who die in deep water drop their items floating. Send a ship to collect them
  • "Save Replay" in the pause menu. You can't watch replays yet, sorry
  • Fixed the hero sheet closing itself, terrain changes showing through fog, and a harmless download error bringing up the crash screen

Desktop

No desktop build this time either. The download page had been offering 0.3.0 files that didn't exist, so it now only links files that are really there.
