Custom Games

A custom game is a whole new way to play, built inside Shards of Stone. Some are tower defense, where you build towers to stop waves of enemies. Some are hero arenas, survival holdouts or puzzles. Each one is a map with its own rules, made with The Forge, our free map editor.

Pick one and press Play. It runs in your browser, and you don't need an account.

Community maps

Published by players from The Forge, and by us. A marks a featured game. Signed-in players can rate them from Custom Games in the game menu. If a map breaks the rules, use Report map on its card.

Tanks of Stone: Steam & Steel

up to 3 players · wasteland

    48×48

    Vault of Ash — Escape

up to 3 players · cave

    64×64

Escape maze for one or two players. The vault seal wants two of three sigils, and the three routes to them cost different things: the Ember Ford burns you, the Stalker Warren hunts you, the Long Stair costs a third of your clock. Ash reapers wake as the ceiling starts to go. One hundred seconds.

  • Preview of Siege of Ember Gate

    Siege of Ember Gate

up to 3 players · wasteland

    64×64

Hero siege for one or two players. 5 waves, and every one sends a swarm at YOU and a battering ram at the gate. The bounty is in the swarm; the ram out-ranges your towers and shrugs off their bolts, so only a champion stops one. Spend the bounty on towers that help forever, or on gate repairs that only undo — and the Forge is a long walk from the wall.

  • Preview of Ironvale Legion

    Ironvale Legion

up to 3 players · plains

    64×64

Legion-TD-style lane race for one player against a rival. 10 rounds hit BOTH lanes at the same time, so a leak only costs you if the rival held. Three things to do with every round's gold: spend it on cheap posts now, save two rounds for a Bastion, or raise an Income Shrine that does nothing today, sends a Raider into the rival's lane, and breaks even on round 7.
