#1Shards of Fate is the card game. It uses the same nine factions, heroes and units as the RTS, just as cards. Pick it from the mode select when the game opens.
Ways to play
- Duel. 30 card decks, one hero each, straight head to head. The easiest place to start.
- Grand War. Exactly 60 card decks, four resources like the RTS, and a base you upgrade through three tiers, on a board with front, middle and rear ranks.
- Battlegrounds. A solo autobattler. Recruit, sell and upgrade between rounds, then watch your formation fight.
- Arena draft. Draft a deck and play with it.
All of these are against the computer. There's no online play in Shards of Fate yet.
Collection
- There are 362 cards, and 32 heroes to choose from across the nine factions.
- Build decks from what you own, craft cards you're missing, and open packs.
- Winning unlocks faction card backs.
Some newer modes and rules are marked as prototypes in the game itself, and I'd rather label them than hide them.
Decklists, pack pulls and "this card is too strong" threads all go here.
